Well the time has come once more for us to grease the trailer wheels, get out the English>Scottish phrase books and most importantly the midge nets and avon skin so soft in preperation for the first of this years Scotland canoeing expeditions.

A team of intrepid youngsters from Manchester will set out to conquer the mighty River Spey . Most of the team are experienced paddlers having already taken part in one of our expeditions in previous years. The Spey is a high volume river and will take alot of skill on the part of the paddlers to manouvre there fully laden canoes through sections of whitewater without getting wet :)

As usual we will be wild camping along the river and hopefully will be treated to some great meals cooked over an open fire ( we do have stoves as back up )

We will try as much as possible (reception and technology allowing) to update this blog with news and events but I am afraid the photos will have to wait until we get back. We are also trialing for the first time a tracking device that will update every 10 minutes our position on google maps to view the tracker go to  Spey Expedition Tracker from the Media & ICT dropdown menu. Again his technology will only work if we have enough reception :-)
